The Little Sack

I came across this liitle poem that goes into a tiny little drawstring bag that I made for a chemo buddy a few years ago. It would make a lovely gift for someone you wish to cheer up for whatever reason. Sindie made my sack out of blue gingham, and put a pretty little blue ribbon drawstring in it.

You need:

A little home made draw string sack about 4" x 3"
A small eraser
A cake candle
One penny or any small coin
A small marble
A short piece of string
And a red heart made out of anything you wish

All these little things are put inside the little sack, and on the outside hangs a piece of card with this message:

We all have those days
When we feel a bit blue
But this bag contains things
To help see you through
An eraser to rub out
Mistakes with one swipe
A candle to light up your gloomiest night
Cash when you feel that
Your backs to the wall
A marble to make sure
You don't lose them all
String to stop everything falling apart
And a hug full of warmth
That comes straight from the heart

I thought you may know someone out there that could be in need of this:0)

That is very nice Sandy and what a good idea, I know a person who would like that as her husband has had to go to the UK and she is not long out of hospital and is a bit low.

Sindie made Mo a lovely bear with a backpack, for her birthday. In the backpack are all these things ;O)

It made Mo cry when she opened it.

Oh what a lovely idea. I would be hopeless at making the sack, but will have a go. And I know just the person I would like to give it to. Thank you Sandie.

I'm glad you reminded me of that. Now it's on your blog I know where to find it when I need it next!

How strange, I made a very similar one for Leeta, it had different things in it but the idea was the same. I shall sort out the poem for you Sandie. Tina x
